I’m currently spending time in Boston for work. If you don’t already know this about me, I work in my family’s taxi cab business. I love coming to our Boston office because it’s feels more like a mom-and-pop shop than our corporate-style office in New York. It’s a tiny space, a little dirty and a little hot. It makes me feel like I’m going back to the way my grandparents worked in the 1960s in New York and I treasure every moment.
I also love the following…
1. Waking up to a different city out my window
2.. How the Boston office orders lunch. They don’t mess around.
3. My sister, Melanie, and her family are locals so I get a night with her family to explore Boston. Last night. we went to Faneuil Hall where we ate massive bowls of ramen at Wagamama and lots of candy for dessert.
4. Street musicians are even coolor in Boston.
5. Having the best of both worlds because at the end of the week, I still get to go back to my home, New York City, where cabs are yellow and the office is air conditioned.
