368 days ago, just three days before our wedding I had one of those moments where you know you are forgetting something but you just don’t know what. My sister was helping me with some final DIY details and I said in a very blonde way, “Is there something I’m supposed to do? Like to get married… do I need to do something?” Jodie was perplexed at first and then asked, “Like a marriage license?” And then we both laughed until we cried because it was quite clear I hadn’t gotten one of those. Kind of an important detail.
Luckily, this conversation happened on Friday and we had a few hours to make our way to the Town Hall. And the big day was better than anything I could have ever imagined. It was pure happiness. Nothing could faze me (not even the bad chuppah design or my disastrous hair), I only had eyes for the incredible man I was marrying and all the love that was surrounding us.
I can’t share our photos quite yet, as they’ll be feautured in the Style Me Pretty hardcover book coming to bookstores this winter. But, here’s a little highlight video of June 26, 2011. I’ve only watched it 365 times in the last year.

I don’t even know you two but your video made me get goose bumps. Happy Anniversary! I hope some day I can find the same kind of happiness!
Wishing you much happiness and continued good health and love as you celebrate your first anniversary. I’ve only met your parents, but through your blog I feel as if I know your whole family. I LOVED that fabulous video and can’t wait to see the pictures when they are ready for public viewing. My daughter is getting married this November and watching your video filled my eyes with tears of joy!
