I’ve done a lot of longing for summer in the last two months, but I do love the autumn. I love the crunch of the leaves under my boots, the feeling of the crisp air while the sun still shines warmly, the fantastic fall recipes. I especially appreciate the grace period before my Florida-raised husband starts his winter whine.
But, I don’t really want to dress up for Halloween anymore. I’m in that middle place where I’m no longer fun enough to go out and get stupid wasted, but we don’t yet have little ones to use as an excuse to go trick-or-treating with. Inevitably though, we will dress up. We will go out. We will get into a cab that someone has vomited in just moments earlier. And, no doubt, we will have a great time.
Here’s a look back at the last couple years…
