Challah is one of my favorite breads, but I’ve never attempted to make my own. If the bread doesn’t have banana and chocolate chips in it, I’m generally too intimated to make it. Fairway Supermarket also enables my fears by carrying the best store-bought challah from Zadies Bakery. This week, I decided to tackle my fear just in time for the Jewish New Year. I made mini raisin challahs, packaged them with artisanal honey and an apple (for a sweet year), and gave them out to my officemates who celebrate.
